Privacy Policy

1. No Data Collection
Mditory does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. The markdown editor runs entirely in your browser. No content you write is ever sent to any server owned or operated by Mditory.
2. Local Storage
Your document draft is saved to your browser's localStorage for convenience — it persists across page refreshes so you never lose your work. This data stays on your device. Clearing your browser data will remove it.
3. Third-Party Services
Mditory integrates with optional third-party services that you explicitly choose to use:
- Google Drive Sync — Requires a Google OAuth Client ID that you configure. Data flows directly between your browser and Google's servers. Mditory has no access to your Drive files or credentials.
- GitHub API — When you fetch a README, your browser sends the repository URL to GitHub's public API. No authentication data is transmitted.
- Google Fonts — The Inter font is loaded from Google Fonts. Your browser may send a request to fonts.googleapis.com.
- Tailwind CDN — CSS is loaded from cdn.tailwindcss.com for development.
4. Cookies
Mditory does not use cookies. No tracking, analytics, or advertising cookies are present.
5. Data Security
Since all document editing occurs locally in your browser, there is no data to intercept or breach. Your content never leaves your device unless you explicitly export it or save it to Google Drive.
6. Changes to This Policy
If this policy changes, the "Last updated" date at the top will be revised. Continued use of Mditory after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
